Gopika, the bubbly girl who earned some hits in Tamil and Malayalam, will marry the Ireland-based doctor, Akhilesh on July 17.
She says that she intends to settle down in Ireland after her wedding and has no plans to return to films.
The marriage is going to take place at Kothamangalam church.The wedding is going to be a family-affair but a grand reception is being planned for the film fraternity.
She started her career with Pranayamanithooval which did not do too well in the box office.
But her second film, 4 The People, was a huge hit and Gopika was noticed.
Later, she moved on to other South Indian films and found a place of her own.
Cheran introduced her to Tamil through Autograph.
Her latest Malayalam hit is Annan Thampi with Mammootty in the lead.
